Picosoft CEO Nominated for IEEE Board of DirectorsElection to take place in NovemberJuly 1, 2003, San Mateo, CA -- Silicon Valley high-tech consulting firm Picosoft today announced that Stephen L. Diamond, Picosoft Managing Director and 30-year industry veteran, has been nominated by the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors as one of two candidates for election to the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Board of Directors. "I'm pleased that the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors has chosen me as a candidate for their IEEE Board of Directors seat," Diamond said. "The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers has over 370,000 members in 150 countries, and publishes 30% of the world's technical literature in electrical engineering, computers and control technology. It is an honor to be considered for this position." Ballots are mailed to IEEE members on September 1, and the results will be announced in November.
